With normal daily wear and decent care I got months of good-looking wear. If you wear them constantly and sleep or shower in them, the plating will show wear sooner. I’d say expect several months to a year of solid wear depending on care.

Is it waterproof?
Not fully. Light splashes are fine. Don’t wear them in the pool, hot tubs, or for long showers. Sweat and salt water speed up wear. I avoid wet situations to keep them looking fresh.
